The Philadelphia Eagles have signed 5th round draft pick safety Ed Reynolds to a four year deal. Reynolds is the fifth of seven Eagles 2014 draft picks to sign a rookie contract.
Reynolds and the Eagles agreed to terms so quickly because now that contracts are slotted, there isn't much negotiation room. Per OverTheCap, as the 162nd pick, Reynold's contract is expected to total around $2.4 million.
This deal ensures that Reynolds will definitely be ready in time for Eagles training camp, which begins in late July. The Eagles have until then to get the rest of their remaining draft picks under contract in order for them to be eligible for practice.
Reynolds was in town for the Eagles rookie minicamp but won't be able to participate in other minicamps and OTAs because he is still finishing up classes at Stanford.
Only the Eagles first round pick, Marcus Smith, and second round pick, Jordan Matthews, have yet to sign.
Five picks down, only two picks to go.
