LeSean McCoy is the Best Running Back in the NFL

New, comments

Let there be no doubt.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

LeSean McCoy is the best running back in the NFL. I said it back in October of 2013, and I say it again today. But perhaps more importantly, so did LeSean McCoy himself. (Via ESPN interview):

My brother always rips me all the time, trying to make me play harder. I say, 'I'm the best,' and he'll say, 'Did Adrian Peterson retire?' I look at the last three years and everything. I think AP has been the best back for so long, and he's been doing it for so long, that's why he automatically gets the best running back [title]," McCoy said.

"But the last three years? I've been All-Pro, first-team, twice. I never leave the field. I block. I catch. I never leave the field. I don't have anybody do my job; I do it myself. Tons of credit goes out to Adrian Peterson. I'm a big fan of his, for sure. But I feel I'm the best."

BGN has discussed McCoy's extensive 2013 accomplishments at length. Dave Spadaro wrote about McCoy's greatness earlier on Monday. There isn't much left to say at this point.

As part of McCoy's appearance on the ESPN set, he also took part in a Twitter question/answer session via the @ESPNNFL account. Here were some the highlights of that chat.

McCoy also made a Super Bowl 49 prediction via Instagram. His SB prediction: Eagles and Patriots the Denver Broncos. Eagles win 42-21.

Of course, it wouldn't be a true Shady moment unless his feelings about Knowshown Moreno were shared. So what did McCoy have to say?

"I just don't think [Knowshon] is that good!" McCoy also went on to say that if Moreno was on the Eagles' roster he wouldn't make the team over the likes of Darren Sproles and Chris Polk.

McCoy isn't just one of the best running backs in the NFL. He's fairly entertaining as well.
