Todd McShay Mock Draft 2015: Eagles Finish as 6th Best Team

A mock draft where the order is more interesting than the picks.

John David Mercer-USA TODAY Spor

In the NFL offseason's reoccurring theme of "It is way too early for this", ESPN draft guru Todd McShay released a 2015 NFL mock draft (In$ider). Bleeding Green Nation already took a look at a 2015 mock earlier this week courtesy of SB Nation's Mocking the Draft.

McShay's mock is interesting for reasons that aren't even related to the actual picks. What I mean is that the order which McShay uses in his mock is actually based off of early projected win totals for every team calculated by Aaron Schatz of Football Outsiders.

Schatz has the the Eagles finishing at pick No. 27 (10-6 record), which means there are only five teams in the NFL projected to be better than the Eagles. Those teams include the (28) New England Patriots, (29) Green Bay Packers, (30) Seattle Seahawks, (31) New Orleans Saints, and (32) Denver Broncos. In the NFC East, the Eagles' opponents are projected to be 9-7 (23) Giants, 7-9 (11) Cowboys, and 6-10 (4) Redskins.

For those more interested in the actual selections, here is the Eagles pick.

Benardrick McKinney*, ILB, Mississippi State

McKinney possesses very good length for the linebacker position (he measures in at 6-5, 235), and he had a strong 2013 campaign (including a 1.5-sack game against Texas A&M and a 10-tackle game against Kentucky).
