Daryn Colledge will visit the Eagles this week

Matt Kartozian-USA TODAY Sports

According to a report from ESPN NFL insider Adam Caplan, veteran free agent offensive lineman Daryn Colledge is scheduled to visit the Philadelphia Eagles this week.

Colledge is officially listed as a guard and measures at 6-4, 308 lbs. The 32-year-old Colledge started out his career in Green Bay. The Packers selected him in the second round of the 2006 NFL Draft (No. 47 overall) and made him the highest selection from the state of Alaska to ever be drafted. He recorded 76 starts in Green Bay (80 games played) over five years. Colledge was signed as a free agent by the Arizona Cardinals in 2011. He played and started in 48 games for them. Colledge has started every game he has played in since 2007, showing no signs of injury history.

The Eagles are likely working out Colledge because they wanted to add an offensive lineman in the 2014 NFL Draft (Eagles General Manager Howie Roseman admitted as much) but they were unable to. They will kick the tires on Colledge and see if it's worth signing him for veteran offensive line depth.
