Philadelphia Eagles Post-Draft Depth Chart: Offense

Let's take a look at the Eagles projected depth chart now that the 2014 NFL Draft is over.

Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Eagles brought in a total of seven new players by way of the 2014 NFL Draft. They also added a total of 15 (or so) rookies through undrafted free agency. Let's now take a look at what the 2014 projected depth chart looks like with respect to these draft additions. We'll start with the offense for now.

Quarterback:

1) Nick Foles

2) Matt Barkley

3) Mark Sanchez

4) G.J. Kinne

Foles is the obvious starter. Barkley and Sanchez will compete for the backup job. Kinne is the best practice squad QB of all time.

Running back:

1) LeSean McCoy

2) Darren Sproles

3) Chris Polk

4) Matthew Tucker

5) Henry Josey

6) David Fluellen

The Eagles traded Bryce Brown away but they still have a plethora of RBs. Shady returns as the best back in the league. Sproles isn't just a pure RB; I imagine he will line up in the slot at times. Polk showed some potential in limited touches last year but is coming off an offseason shoulder surgery. Tucker, Josey, and Fluellen could battle it out for a 4th RB job.

Tight end:

1) Brent Celek

2) Zach Ertz

3) James Casey

4) Emil Igwenagu

5) Trey Burton

6) Blane Annen

Celek is the in-line starter with Ertz stepping into a more advanced role this year. Casey is the team's best special teams player and could be used as a run blocker like he was at the end of the 2013. Iggy, Burton, and Annen will compete for the 4th spot.

Wide Receiver:

1) Jeremy Maclin

2) Riley Cooper

3) Jordan Matthews

4) Josh Huff

5) Brad Smith

6) Arrelious Benn

7) Jeff Maehl

8) Damaris Johnson

9) B.J. Cunningham

10) Quron Pratt

11) Kadron Boone

12) Will Murphy

13) Ifeanyi Momah

A lot of bodies here. Guys will move around the field but I imagine 4 WR sets will look like: Maclin and Cooper on the outside with Matthews and Huff on the inside. Brad Smith will have a handful of snaps on offense but mostly play special teams. Benn still needs to prove he can stay healthy. The guys beyond that are fighting for the final spot(s).

Offensive Tackle:

1) Jason Peters

2) Lane Johnson

3) Allen Barbre

4) Matt Tobin

5) Dennis Kelly

6) Andrew Gardner

7) Michael Bamiro

8) Kevin Graf

The starters are obvious. Peters is aging but he's still in top form. Johnson should be aiming to take a big leap forward in his second year. Allen Barbre seems like a capable swing tackle (who can also play guard) off the bench. The team seems to remain high on Matt Tobin. Kelly, Gardner, Bamiro, and Graf could be competing for a spot.

Offensive Guard:

1) Evan Mathis

2) Todd Herremans

3) Donald Hawkins

4) Josh Andrews

5) Karim Barton

This doesn't look like a very deep position beyond the two starters. It's worth noting that the Eagles like their lineman to play in different spots so you could also consider players like Barbre and Tobin here.

Center:

1) Jason Kelce

2) David Molk

3) Julian Vandervelde

Kelce is the obvious starter. The backup center job is completely up for grabs, however. I give Molk the edge for now because he's more of a "pure" center while Vandervelde has looked more like an offensive guard playing center.
