DeMeco’s Future - Tommy Lawlor, Iggles Blitz
DeMeco Ryans has 118 starts under his belt. He’s at the point where age should really kick in. And let’s understand the word "decline". That doesn’t mean "bad". It certainly has a negative connotation, but it needs context. Ryans is declining from being a good ILB. That doesn’t mean he’s no longer an effective starter. You can win with Ryans. He can still make plays. What you don’t know is when he’ll make a big decline and become somewhat of a liability. This could be 2014, 2015 or even down the road in 2017 or 2018.

Redskins, Texans highlight teams that could go from worst to first next season - SB Nation NFL
The NFC East has been one of the most competitive divisions in the NFL for some time now, but that doesn't mean it's been particularly strong, as finishing just over .500 has been the bar to potentially snare the grouping. As noted above, the Eagles were the team to go from worst to first this past season, but we've pegged the Redskins as a team that could do the same in 2014. Philadelphia seems to be on the right track with Foles, but he is relatively inexperienced and will be looking to maintain his performance from last year, if not surpass it. His ability to do so remains a variable in this equation, one which could sway the power in the East.

New director of football operations Troy Vincent can see in the NFL's future a developmental league, an eighth official on the field for games, and coaches using tablets on the sidelines to call plays.

PST: What's next step for Eagles' defense? - CSN Philly
The Eagles' defense was supposed to be a weak spot last season, but it ended up being one of the pleasant surprises of the season. Brandon Boykin and Bennie Logan, two players who had breakout seasons, joined "Philly Sports Talk" on Friday to talk about their goals for the 2014 season.
