The Philadelphia Eagles' schedule has been released and immediate reactions have been doled out. From what I've seen, there are a lot of mixed reviews. Some say the Eagles schedule is pretty tough. It is a first place schedule, after all. Others have suggested it's really not that bad.
Positives: The Eagles open their season with one of the worst teams in the league in 2013 the Jacksonville Jaguars. It's a home game and it seems winnable. The Eagles also get to play the Texans and the Titans, who made up part of the worst division in the NFL last year. The St. Louis Rams are the only team the Eagles have to face coming off of their bye week. That seems ideal. It's probably good to see the Eagles will have some extra rest for the Seahawks game.
Concerns: The stretch at the end of the year looks tough. The last five games in particular look like they will truly test this Eagles team, with three of them coming against NFC East opponents. Facing DeSean Jackson in Week 3 both will and won't be fun. The 49ers, Seahawks, and Packers games look like tough ones. Especially with having to play in San Francisco and Green Bay.
Misc: 5 prime-time games! That's a lot. I would say the national exposure is good if the Eagles can hold up to their end of the bargain and prove they're worth it.
Overall, I think this is a pretty decent. There are some tough cookies mixed in but that's life as a division champion. I would still vote for good.
How about you? Good or bad?
