DeSean Jackson Signs with the Washington Redskins for 3 Years, $24 Million

DeSean Jackson has found a new home in Washington.

Howard Smith-USA TODAY Sports

The Eagles released wide receiver DeSean Jackson on March 28 and now he has a new home. The three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver has signed a 3 year deal worth $24 million ($16 million guaranteed) with the Washington Redskins. Jackson was with the Eagles for six seasons and amassed 356 catches for 6,117 receiving yards and 32 touchdowns. He also added 57 carries for 373 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns, as well as four punt return scores.

In Washington, Jackson will be part of an offense that features some quality talent. He will have the opportunity to continue his success on the field with a team that could surely use his help. Robert Griffin III will be grateful for his addition. The Eagles loss could certainly turn out to be Washington's gain.

Jackson was rumored to have issues in the locker room as well as possible off-the-field distractions while in Philadelphia. It remains to be seen how he'll fare in DC.
