The latest name on the list of 30 NFL Draft prospects who the Eagles will bring in for a pre-draft visit is offensive guard Trey Hopkins. According to Alex Dunlap, the Eagles will meet with the former Texas Longhorn.
Hopkins is a 6-4, 300 pound senior who made 42 starts in 50 appearances at Texas. 28 of those starts were at offensive guard (12 at left guard in his senior year) and 14 were at right tackle. Hopkins is projected to be a late round draft pick or an undrafted free agent.
According to SB Nation Texas Longhorns blog Burnt Orange Nation, Watkins turned in a good showing at his pro day last week.
One area that wasn't mentioned as a way to impress scouts for offensive guard Trey Hopkins was on the bench press, where he could answer questions about his strength. Based on reports, Hopkins turned in some impressive work there. In fact, the Longhorn Network said that he benched 225 pounds 28 times, which would have been good enough to tie for 14th at the NFL Combine.

Hopkins and Hawkins may have helped themselves the most with their vertical leaps, which both measured at 32 inches and would have tied for 2nd among the offensive linemen at the NFL Combine.
The Eagles could certainly use more depth at guard given their two starters are both currently over 30: Evan Mathis (32) and Todd Herremans (31).
