2014 NFL Mock Draft: Eagles Add Calvin Pryor and Jeremiah Attaochu

The Eagles add a pass rusher and a safety in this latest mock draft.

SB Nation's Mocking the Draft released their latest 2014 NFL Mock Draft on Monday. This is a mock that goes two rounds deep. MTD has the Eagles drafting two defensive players this time around. Let's take a look at the picks:

22. Philadelphia Eagles - Calvin Pryor, S, Louisville

Chip Kelly wants the Eagles to get bigger and more physical on defense. Louisville safety Calvin Pryor would be a nice start. He's a bit too aggressive at times, but he's one of the hardest hitting safeties in this class. He doesn't belong in the conversation with Clinton-Dix, but he is a likely first-round pick.

BGN has already profiled Pryor in our draft profile series. Pryor measured in at the combine at 5-11, 207. That's obviously not quite as big as the unofficial 6-2, 208 number that was floating around before. Still, the Louisville junior is a hard-hitting play-maker, having accumulated 7 interceptions and 9 forced fumbles in three years.

In the second round, the Eagles take a pass rusher.

54. Philadelphia Eagles - Jeremiah Attaochu, LB, Georgia Tech

Jeremiah Attaochu is at his best when getting after the quarterback, an area the Eagles have struggled with recently. Between Pryor in round one and Attaochu in round two, the Eagles would add two playmakers to a defense that needs as much talent as it can get.

BGN has also already profiled Attaochu as well. The Georgia Tech senior weighs in at 6-3, 252. Attaochu didn't work out at the 2014 NFL Combine due to a partially torn hamstring. He is expected to work out at Georgia Tech's pro day on March 28.

Both of these additions infuse new talent into an Eagles defense that could easily use improvement. Both selections also address positions of need. How do you feel about these picks? Were there better options available?
