DeSean Jackson betting odds! - JimmyK, Philly.com
Think you know how the DeSean Jackson situation will play out? Well... Put your money where your mouth is! The folks over at Betfair Casino have put out odds on the #Jaccpocalypse.

Confusion Still Reigns - Tommy Lawlor, Iggles Blitz
Jeff Lurie met with the media today at the NFL owners meetings. He had a chance to offer his thoughts on the DeSean Jackson melodrama and possibly offer some insight to the state of things (building off DJax’s tweet from last night). Instead, Lurie had nothing to say on the matter. I don’t take that as a good sign.

Lurie's glad that 'leap of faith' with Vick worked out - Zach Berman, Inquirer
With Michael Vick's tenure in Philadelphia concluded, Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie could not hide his pride when describing Vick's five years in Philadelphia and the risk the organization took in 2009. "It was a leap of faith," Lurie said Tuesday at the NFL owners meetings. "We hoped that Michael would be the person he professed he really was and wanted to be, and would be that way in the community. He hit all markers at a 100 percent level."

On Reid, Packaged Plays And the 10-Second Rule - Sheil Kapadia, Birds 24/7
We've written plenty in this space about the effect the 2011 offseason had on the Eagles. Howie Roseman and others often bring up the mistakes made with Nnamdi Asomugha, Ronnie Brown, Vince Young and so on. But that effect is apparently not limited to the Eagles. Reid was asked about the role of free agency in building a roster. "I’m not a huge free agency guy," Reid said. "I don’t think you build a team that way. I think you obviously build it through the draft. There’s so many elements that go into a player actually fitting into your program and being successful that you get them right where they’re kind of peaking in that system and then you disrupt that and move 'em on to another system, that can be tough.

Eagles to face major 2015 salary cap decisions - Reuben Frank, CSN Philly
Whether or not DeSean Jackson returns to the Eagles, one thing is certain. The Eagles are going to have to make several difficult and most likely unpopular decisions in the next year to get under the 2015 salary cap. Forget this year for a minute. The Eagles are already in cap trouble next year.

New Jets QB Michael Vick: 'I feel like I'm a legitimate starting quarterback in this league.' - Manish Mehta, NY Daily News
Vick on former Eagles teammate DeSean Jackson, who has been subject to recent trade talk.
"I think sometimes it takes a change in your life to understand really what needs to happen, and the course that needs to be set," Vick said. "Maybe it's time for a change for DeSean to help him understand the maturation process of his young NFL life and his personal life. Whatever happens, I will continue to be a great friend to him and try to help him as much as I can mentor-wise so he doesn't have to go through any situations that may be detrimental to his life."

DeSean situation likely hasn’t changed - PFT
It’s way too little and way too late for the Eagles to reverse weeks of momentum pointing toward Jackson leaving the team.  It would be a shock at this point if he’s back with the Eagles. It would be more than a shock.  At this point, our assessment remains that there’s no chance Jackson will be back.

32 terrible reasons not to draft anyone in the 2014 NFL Draft - Adam Jacobi, SB Nation NFL
22.  Philadelphia Eagles - Calvin Pryor, S, Louisville - Not the Calvin from "Calvin and Hobbes," as scouts figured out five questions into Combine interviews. So now nobody knows if that stuff really happened. Avoid.
