This marks the second time ever the Eagles have worn their all-black alternate uniforms. The team debuted these jerseys earlier in this season in a 27-0 win over the New York Giants.
This news comes as a surprise. Unlike the week heading up to the Giants game, the Eagles did not hype the #BlackSunday theme this time.
Every NFL team is permitted to wear their alternate jersey twice a year at most. Philadelphia's game against the Seahawks marks their second to last game at home so this was one of their final opportunities to use it. It is interesting the Eagles did not save the all-black for their game next week against the Dallas Cowboys.
The Eagles will hope for the same kind of success they had in that game.
