The 2014 NFL season December edition of Philadelphia Eagles approval polls continue here on Bleeding Green Nation with general manager Howie Roseman. Don't forget to vote in the Chip Kelly approval poll from Wednesday and the Bill Davis approval poll from Thurdsay if you missed out on those.
Here's what I wrote about Roseman in November:
"One of Roseman's offseason acquisitions is going to be majorly tested moving forward: backup quarterback Mark Sanchez. While it's obvious Chip Kelly had a big role in bringing Sanchez to Philadelphia, Roseman can't be discredited for picking up a quality backup quarterback in free agency. Now it's time for Sanchez to live up to his end of the bargain as the team tries to sustain their playoff hopes."
Mark Sanchez has played pretty well as far as backup quarterback expectations are concerned. Sanchez is 3-1 as a starter with the Eagles. The value of a good backup can't be understated. The Dallas Cowboys dropped a game against Arizona due to Brandon Weeden having to play. Speaking of Arizona, the Cardinals appear to be crashing and burning with Drew Stanton under center instead of Carson Palmer. Meanwhile, the Eagles are winning with Sanchez and are very much alive for the No. 2 seed in the NFC.
While we're on the topic of Roseman, this piece on the balance of power in the Eagles organization by Tim McManus is worth mentioning. Apparently the relationship between Kelly and Roseman has "cooled." There's nothing of immediate consequence there, but it's something to watch moving forward.
So, do you approve of the job Howie Roseman is doing as the general manager of the Philadelphia Eagles? Vote now in the poll below and leave your thoughts in the comments.
