Bears vs. Cowboys: Chicago can help Philadelphia by beating Dallas on Thursday Night Football

Thursday Night Football, NFL Week 14, 2014.

Mike DiNovo-USA TODAY Sports

Thursday Night Football is here to kick off Week 14 of the 2014 NFL season. The Dallas Cowboys (8-4) are in Chicago, Illinois tonight to take on the Bears (5-7). It's a match-up between two NFC teams.

It's no secret that Philadelphia Eagles fans will be rooting for Chi-town in this one. A Bears win would allow the Eagles to clinch the NFC East with a win in Week 15 even if Philadelphia loses this week to the Seattle Seahawks. If the Bears lose, the Eagles can still clinch the NFC East next week if Philly beats the Seahawks.

In other words, the Eagles don't need the Bears to win this game by any means, but it would certainly give the Birds some breathing room.

To be determined if the Bears can pull out a victory. Chicago's defense has been bad and the Cowboys offense has looked good except for when the Eagles shut it down. The Bears beat Dallas in Chicago last year on Monday Night Football by a final score of 45 to 28.

Here's all the game information you need if you plan on watching.
