Emerging Graham is likely to test free-agent market - Inquirer
It would make little sense for Brandon Graham to sign a contract with the Eagles before testing free agency. The team recently reached out to Graham's agent to open negotiations, which may be the Cinderella story of the year considering how close the former defensive end-turned-linebacker thought he came to getting released or traded before the season.

Eagle Eye: There Will Be Opportunities - PE.com
The Eagles' playoff hopes are on the line when they head down to Landover, Md. on Saturday to take on Washington. While this team has struggled greatly since the last time these two teams met back in Week 3, there are a lot of things to prepare for on both sides of the ball. Defensively, this Washington team led by coordinator Jim Haslett is a pressure-based 3-4 scheme. They mix up their looks on the back end with various man and zone coverages. One of the benefactors of that scheme, in terms of production, is linebacker Ryan Kerrigan. The former first-round pick has been a terror for opposing offenses this season, racking up 12.5 sacks, 18 tackles for loss and 16 hits on the quarterback through 14 games.

No Chris Collinsworth, This is not the Read-Option - ChipWagon
During the telecast on Sunday night, Chris Collinsworth referred to the Eagles running the "read-option pass" during a 3rd down conversion to Zach Ertz in the red zone. It is evaluations like this that make people conclude that the Eagles offensive scheme is simple and predictable. Yes, it is based on a smaller set of simple concepts, but the beauty and the complexity of the scheme is in the various options, various looks, and the different ways Chip dresses his plays up. Chris Brown has written some great stuff about "constraint plays". Chip Kelly is a master at drawing up various combinations of his plays and creating different options to catch defenses off guard who think they recognize a given play off film.

Lost Season For Boykin? - Birds 24/7
The calls for more Brandon Boykin have quieted down as the year has gone along, partly because people have come to realize those efforts are fruitless, and partly because Boykin hasn’t been flashing with the same brightness compared to last season. That six-interception campaign seems a world away now, doesn’t it? The talk this offseason was all about how to get the young corner’s snaps up from 50 percent. Instead, his playing time has gone south (he’s played 42 percent of the defensive snaps, per Pro Football Focus) and it feels like Boykin has been pushed further to the fringe by Billy Davis and Chip Kelly despite the coaches’ claims that he is viewed as a starter.

McCoy: 'Hard to be selfish' losing short TDs to Polk - CSN Philly
McCoy led the NFL in rushing last year and is on pace for 1,293 yards this year, fourth-most in the NFL. Polk is an undrafted free agent with only 50 career carries. But the Eagles have struggled in the red zone all year, and the Eagles believe Polk’s size and power give him an advantage through traffic near the end zone.

Scouting the Eagles and Redskins - Daily News
The two teams enter Saturday in different places, with the game more meaningful to the Eagles. "We need wins, and they're a team trying to finish the season out," McCoy said. "You play hard, but you probably have your flights already scheduled." Griffin's return to the starting lineup adds intrigue to the game. The teams combined for six personal fouls and two ejections in the first meeting, so there could be bad blood. Both teams are playing with one fewer day of rest than usual. The Eagles have not lost to a team with a losing record this season. Chip Kelly is 3-0 against Washington.

J.J. Watt leads list of top 10 defensive players - NFL.com
10. Fletcher Cox, Eagles defensive end: We noted on a recent edition of the Around The NFL Podcast that Cox has been one of the three or four most dominant defensive players in the league over the past month. He and Watt have been the NFL's most complete defensive lineman in the second half of the season.
