Before Week 15 of the 2014 NFL season kicks off, I thought we would have some fun by taking a look at the spreads for this week's round of games. (Click here for NFL Week 15 picks without regard to the spread.)
Here are my suggestions when trying to beat Vegas. You can find all of today's NFL betting lines and more at the SB Nation odds page. My record so far this season: 86-100-3. (Last week's picks.)
I finished below .500 last week with a 6-8-1 record. Still having a bad season. But that won't stop me from continuing to look foolish. Let's get to the picks.

NFL WEEK 15
Washington Redskins at New York Giants (-6.5): The Giants showed last week that they still have some life in them. Washington, on the other hand, looks lifeless. What a dysfunctional organization. Have to do with the G-Men here. Pick: Giants -6.5
Miami Dolphins at New England Patriots (-8): The Patriots will be looking to avenge their Week 1 loss in Miami. New England is way too good at home not to win this one, and they should be able to cover as well. Pick: Patriots -8
Green Bay Packers (-5.5) at Buffalo Bills: I actually like the Bills OUTRIGHT in this one. Aaron Rodgers is red hot and Kyle Orton is less than impressive, but the Packers aren't as beatable away from Green Bay. Look at their road games this year. They only beat the Vikings by three points, lost to the Saints by 21, beat the Dolphins by three, beat the Bears by 21, lost to the Lions by 12, and lost to the Seahawks by 20. The Bills defense can at least keep this game close. Pick: Bills +5.5
Oakland Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs (-10): The Chiefs have been ice cold since losing to the Raiders a few weeks ago. The game is in Kansas City this time and the Chiefs will be desperate. I trust Andy Reid here more than I do the Raiders, though the line is a little bigger than I'm comfortable with. Pick: Chiefs -10
Jacksonville Jaguars at Baltimore Ravens (-14): Ravens are a lock to win this one. The only question is if they will cover. It's a tough call because 14 points is a lot. I'll bet on Baltimore here. Pick: Ravens -14
Houston Texans at Indianapolis Colts (-7): Houston is 4-2 in their last six but three of those wins came against the Titans (twice) and Jaguars. The Colts are an easy pick with home field advantage. Pick: Colts -7
Pittsburgh Steelers (-3) at Atlanta Falcons: Weird one. The Falcons actually looked a lot better in Green Bay than anyone expected. The Steelers are hard to trust from week to week. Atlanta might be without Julio Jones, so that's a huge factor here. Pittsburgh seems like a safer play despite the home field advantage for the Dirty Birds. Pick: Steelers -3
Cincinnati Bengals at Cleveland Browns (-0): JOHNNY FOOTBALL Pick: Browns -0
Must Reads
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Carolina Panthers (-3): The Panthers beat the Buccaneers without Cam Newton already once this season. Now they'll get a chance to do it at home. Carolina is technically still alive in the playoff race so they won't be packing it in. Pick: Panthers -3
NY Jets (-3) at Tennessee Titans: The Titans are probably the worst team in football right now. The Jets aren't much better, but they're not as worse. Pick: Jets -3
Denver Broncos at San Diego Chargers: The Chargers need this win a lot more than the Broncos do. That doesn't mean Denver will go down easy but I think the Bolts will find a way to at least play this one close. Pick: Chargers +5
Minnesota Vikings at Detroit Lions (-8): Detroit's defense will ensure the win, but their offense will make it close. Vikings will find a way to cover this spread in a division game. Pick: Vikings +8
San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks (-10): The Seahawks' defense is playing at a very high level. The 49ers are crashing and burning. The game is in Seattle and it's hard to see how the 49ers have a chance in this one. PIck: Seahawks -10
Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles (-3.5): A line this low is a bit of a steal. Philadelphia dominated Dallas just 17 days ago. The Eagles defense matches up really well against the Cowboys offense. When Dallas can't get their run game going, everything else falls apart. This game might be closer than the first outing but not this close. Pick: Eagles -3.5
New Orleans Saints (-3) at Chicago Bears: A battle of two pitiful defenses. New Orleans has the better offense, so they seem like the better pick. Pick: Saints -3
