The Philadelphia Eagles took care of business on their road trip to Houston on Sunday by defeating the Texans, 31-21.
It was far from a pretty win. The Eagles turned the ball over four times. The quarterback of the offense, Nick Foles, and quarterback of the defense, DeMeco Ryans, both went down with significant injuries. Foles is out for several weeks while Ryans' season is now over. Veteran right guard Todd Herremans also left the game early with an ankle injury. Despite these losses, the Eagles rallied for the road victory.
Mark Sanchez was far from perfect in relief of Foles but he played pretty well considering the circumstances. Sanchez did enough to help lead the Eagles to victory, including a red-zone touchdown pass to Jeremy Maclin to give Philadelphia a 10-point lead to effectively clinch the win.
