Eagles vs. Titans Final Score: Philadelphia tramples Tennessee, 43-24

The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Tennessee Titans on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field, 43-24. The Eagles advanced to 8-3 on the 2014 NFL Season. Read on for a drive-by-drive recap of the game. Up next for Philadelphia is an away game on Thanksgiving against the Dallas Cowboys.

FIRST QUARTER

The Tennessee Titans win the opening coin toss and elect to defer. The Philadelphia Eagles will receive first.

Rookie wide receiver Josh Huff is back to take the kick. And he takes it to the house, wow. Huff's 107-yard return is the longest in franchise history. Previous record was 105. Talk about redemption for a player that has been struggling. The Eagles special teams unit is just unreal.

Touchdown (7-0, Eagles)

Titans 1st drive: Punt

Zach Mettenberger's first pass is broken up by Malcolm Jenkins. Then the rookie quarterback is sacked by Connor Barwin on third down. Sack number 11.5 for Barwin on the season.

Eagles 1st drive: Touchdown (14-0, Eagles)

LeSean McCoy gets the call early and often. McCoy picks up a first down on a big gain. McCoy looking good. Eagles move into scoring position by continuing to pound the rock. Darren Sproles gets the call in the red zone and punches it in for the score.

Titans 2nd drive: Punt

Tennessee starts with good field position due to a long return from Leon Washington. Malcolm Jenkins breaks up Mettenberger's pass on third down, however, and the Titans have to punt. It looks like Jenkins may have gotten away with pass interference on the play, but no call.

Eagles 2nd drive: Touchdown (14-0, Eagles)

Sanchez throws a beauty of a ball to McCoy but McCoy is called for offensive pass interference. McCoy definitely extended his hand, but it was very brief. Make-up call. Sanchez's pass for Jordan Matthews on third-and-long sails way over the rookie's head.

Titans 3rd drive: Punt

Mettenberger is seemingly wrapped up by Barwin on first down but the rookie quarterback throws it away. No intentional grounding called. Officials generously ruled that a receiver was in the area. Doesn't matter, however, because the Titans have to punt anyway.

Eagles 3rd drive: Field goal (17-0, Eagles)

Zach Ertz kicks off Philly's third drive with a reception for a small gain. Ertz gets a little banged up on the play. Sanchez target Brad Smith in the red zone and the veteran wide receiver is absolutely lit up by a Titans defender Michael Griffin. Smith remains on the field before eventually jogging off. Hospital pass from Sanchez there. Pass interference called because the hit was early, too. Josh Huff had to be prevented from going after the Titans on that play. Sanchez throws another hospital pass to Matthews and it's dropped in the end zone after the rookie takes a big hit. Yikes. Cody Parkey kicks the 37-yard field goal to make it a three possession game. 16 straight made kicks for the rookie kicker.

Titans 4th drive: Punt

Nothing going for the Titans on this drive after Trent Cole makes a nice run stop. Four drives, four three-and-outs.

Eagles 4th drive: Interception

Brandon Boykin's block in the back sets the Eagles deep in their own territory. Sanchez targets Riley Cooper down field and is picked off. Just not an accurate ball there. Looked like a lazy route from Cooper as well.

Titans 5th drive: (Continued below)

Tennessee takes over with decent field position due to the turnover.

SECOND QUARTER

Titans 5th drive: Touchdown (17-7, Eagles)

Mettenberger's pass is off target and gets tipped by Malcolm Jenkins. Unfortunately for the Eagles, the ball winds up right in Justin Hunter's hands. The Titans wide receiver takes it in for a score. Bad tackle attempt by Bradley Fletcher.

Eagles 5th drive: Field goal (20-7, Eagles)

Long run from LeSean McCoy puts the Eagles in good field position. Great block by Brent Celek on the play. Sproles make a defender miss along the sideline for a first down in the red zone. Eagles are forced to kick a field goal from the 7-yard line. Parkey's kick is good. 17 in a row. That makes Parkey tied for the second longest streak in franchise history.

Titans 6th drive: Touchdown (20-14, Eagles)

Mettenberger kicks things off with a deep pass down the field to Delanie Walker. Emmanuel Acho was toasted in coverage and didn't have a chance. Vinny Curry sacks Mettenberger on third down but Curry touches the face-mask. 15-yard penalty, automatic first down. Bad break for Curry. Titans score on their new set of downs via a short Shonn Greene rushing touchdown. Titans back in the game.

Eagles 6th drive: Touchdown (27-14, Eagles)

Sanchez connects with Matthews on third down for a big conversion. Good catch and run from the rookie. Sanchez rolls out left and finds Cooper along the sideline for a tip-toe catch. Awesome throw. McCoy runs it in for the score. Just like that, it's a two score game. McCoy goes over 100 yards on the day with the carry.

Titans 7th drive: Field goal (27-17, Eagles)

Nate Allen goes down with an injury as the Titans start driving. Chris Maragos takes his place. Allen comes back a few plays later. The Titans earn a big gain on another Walker reception. Then it's a Hunter reception that puts the Titans in the red zone. Philly comes up big with a big stop and forces the opposition to settle for a field goal.

Eagles 7th drive: Missed field goal

Sanchez misses Cooper on an out down the field. Then Sanchez steps up in the pocket and finds Matthews down field for a big gai with 25 seconds remaining. Eagles take their final timeout. Sproles makes a catch and then gets out of bounds. Sanchez misses Maclin on an out down field but then the Eagles run the same play again and it's money. Maclin just gets his toes in-bounds. Great throw and catch. Parkey's 49-yard attempt bounces off the upright for a miss. Streak over!

Titans 8th drive: Time expires

Titans take a knee to end the first half.

THIRD QUARTER

Titans get the ball to start the second half.

Titans 9th drive: Fumble

Casey Matthews misses a tackle on a Titans receiver. Fletcher Cox sacks Mettenberger on first down. Coverage sack. Weird play on third-and-long: Cox bats down a Mettenberger pass and Titans offensive lineman Brian Schwenke recovers. Then he fumbles after running and Philadelphia recovers on the play. The play is reviewed and the ruling is upheld.

Eagles 9th drive: Touchdown (34-17, Eagles)

LeSean McCoy breaks off a big run thanks to an absolutely filthy juke on a Titans defender. Sanchez finds James Casey open on an out in the end zone for the score. That's Casey's second touchdown of the season. Great throw by Sanchez there.

Titans 10th drive: Punt

Cole sacks Mettenberger to force 3rd-and-13 in Tennessee territory. Curry gets a sack on third down but two off-setting penalties cause the down to be replayed. Cole schools rookie offensive lineman Taylor Lewan on the play and picks up another sack. Beautiful move by Cole.

Eagles 10th drive: Interception

Sanchez targets a pair of open receivers in the middle of the field but his pass sails high and into the arms of a defender. The Titans gain a decent return on the pick.

Titans 11th drive: Fumble

Big beastly nose tackle Bennie Logan bails the Eagles offense out by forcing a fumble.

Eagles 11th drive: (Continued below)

Sproles comes up with a big first down conversion following a Sanchez handoff. Just an ureal player. Video game style. Eagles move into 1st-and-goal territory but two penalties push them back to 29-yard line.

FOURTH QUARTER

Eagles 11th drive: Field goal (37-17, Eagles)

Sanchez takes off but is tackled from behind. Philly has to settle for a Parkey field goal.

Titans 12th drive: Punt

Nothing going. Barwin records a strip sack but the Titans recover the fumble. 12.5 sacks for Barwin. That's a career high.

Eagles 12th drive: Field goal (40-17, Eagles)

Eagles move into scoring position. Sanchez struggles to get anything going in the red zone and the Eagles have to kick another short field goal. Parkey's attempt is good.

Titans 13th drive: Turnover on downs

Marcus Smith II getting some snaps on defense now. Titans move the ball and Mettenberger throws a touchdown but it's called back due to offensive pass interference. Cole records a sack but gets called for being offside on the play. Titans convert, but Chip Kelly challenges the spot and it's 4th down instead. Mettenberger's pass is incomplete.

Eagles 13th drive: Punt

Sanchez targets Maclin deep but the Eagles wide receiver can't secure it. Far from a perfect throw. Sanchez almost gets picked on third down.

Titans 14th drive: Touchdown (40-24, Eagles)

Brandon Graham misses a sack attempt. Dexter McCluster scores a garbage time touchdown.

Eagles 14th drive: Field goal (43-24, Eagles)

Eagles starters still in after Zach Ertz recovers a Titans onside kick attempt. Clock-killing time. Eagles move into field goal range and Parkey nails the kick from 50 yards out.

Titans 15th drive: Interception

Mettenberger throws a pick right to Brandon Boykin. That's his first of the season.

Eagles 15th drive: Punt

Victory formation, but the Eagles have to punt with 35 seconds left.

Titans 16th drive: Time expires

Titans kneel to end the game.

FINAL SCORE: EAGLES WIN, 43-24

The Eagles are now 8-3 on the 2014 NFL season. The Eagles have now won 10 straight regular season home games.
