All-22: Zeroing In On the Eagles’ Defense - Birds 24/7
Billy Davis pointed out during the summer that part of the reason the Eagles play a two gap 3-4 is because it’s the most effective scheme against a lot of the things Chip Kelly likes to do on offense. And as we all know, Kelly likes to run the football. So almost every week, when the coaches are game-planning for their opponents, they emphasize stopping the run. A rare exception was last year's playoff game against the Saints when Davis decided to guard against the pass. But the Eagles defensive coordinator did not make that same exception for Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers.

Eagle Eye: Titans 'D' A Disruptive Force -
Despite sitting toward the bottom of the AFC with a 2-8 record, the Titans look a lot better on tape than the box score shows. In his first year with the team, head coach Ken Whisenhunt is installing new schemes on both sides of the ball and playing a large amount of young players as the team tries to transition back to its winning ways.

Was it Huff's Fault? - ChipWagon
Gunners are taught to "front" the PR. Don't let him go straight ahead. Make him go sideways where the pursuit can get him. Huff is fronting the PR from his position as the left gunner, but other than Carroll, help is 20 yards away. As we can see, Carroll has ran past the PR.

Eagles' McCoy irked at questions about his rushing ability - Daily News
"I'm not going to address 'Am I the same player?' I won't address that. For what? What are we talking about, am I the same player? That's for y'all to figure out. You crazy? Am I the same player? I am the same player," McCoy said.

Matthews growing into major role for Eagles - Inquirer
When the Eagles decided to "reconfigure" the wide receiver position during the offseason, which was their way of explaining why they released DeSean Jackson and Jason Avant, they prepared for one of the best draft classes at the position in history.

DeSean stands by 'epic' Instagram post about 'Skins - The 700 Level
It sure didn't take long for DeSean Jackson to fall out of love with his new team. On Monday, he made a thinly veiled criticism of the Redskins, posting a picture on Instagram that read simply: "You can’t do epic s--- with basic people." And despite all the attention it drew, Jackson didn't back away from that comment when asked about it Thursday. "Whoever feels like it's directed at him, that's who it's directed at," Jackson told CSN Washington. Interesting route for Jackson to take, essentially telling his teammates that if you were offended, you were the target.

MVP Watch: Aaron Rodgers on the Rise - numberFire
While other sites and analyses may look at standard statistics like yards per carry and completion percentages to determine the best player in the league - the MVP - we like to dig a little deeper here at numberFire. We like to use our favorite metric, Net Expected Points (NEP), and its position-specific variations. Since common numbers such as yards, completions, and touchdowns don't tell the whole story about a player, we can use NEP to see who is truly separating himself from the pack and adding value to his team.

NFL's British accent - SB Nation
England has a very real passion for "American football," but that doesn't mean the UK wants their own team
