According to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle, the Houston Texans will be without the following two defensive starters in their game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney and inside linebacker Brian Cushing are both out.
Cushing and Clowney are out against Eagles

Clowney, who just returned to the field last week after suffering a knee injury in Week One, is reportedly dealing with an unspecified illness. Clowney is obviously very talented and went No. 1 overall in the 2014 NFL Draft for a reason, so the Eagles are dodging a bullet with him sitting out. On a side note, apparently Houston is already frustrated with Clowney's inability to stay healthy.
The official inactive list for Philadelphia and Houston will be announced shortly. Stay tuned.
