Panthers win the opening toss and elect to receive. Bryan Braman makes the tackle on the opening return.

Panthers 1st drive: Fumble

Casey Matthews forces a fumble on second down and Cedric Thornton recovers. Wow. What a way to set the tone. For those counting at home, that's 21 straight games where the Eagles have forced a turnover.

Eagles 1st drive: Field goal (3-0, Eagles)

Mark Sanchez misfires on two passes and the Eagles go three and out. Cody Parkey drills the 39-yard field goal for the first points of the game.

Panthers 2nd drive: Interception

Cam Newton's pass for Kelvin Benjamin is picked off by Cary Williams. Not a good start for Carolina, huh?

Eagles 2nd drive: Touchdown (10-0, Eagles)

Sanchez shows good pocket presence and fires a pass to Brent Celek to put the Eagles in the red-zone. Darren Sproles takes a carry on a misdirection and runs into the end-zone without a defender even close to him. Credit Riley Cooper with a great block on the play.

Panthers 3rd drive: Touchdown (10-7, Eagles)

Jason Avant moves the chains on third down for Carolina. Then it's a big pass from Newton to Olsen deep down the field with Matthews in coverage. Clearly not the much-maligned linebacker's strength. Newton moves Carolina to the 3-yard line. Eagles pass rush failing to generate much pressure. Johnathan Stewart punches it in for the score.

Eagles 3rd drive: Punt

Three and out after drops from Jordan Matthews and then Darren Sproles. Sanchez not getting any help.

Panthers 4th drive: Punt returned for Eagles touchdown (17-7, Eagles)

Beastly run stop from Brandon Graham goes for a tackle for loss. False start sets Carolina back even more and the Panthers have to punt.

Sproles makes up for the dropped pass by taking the punt return 65 yards to house. My goodness, Darren Sproles is ridiculous. That's his sixth touchdown score of the season. The Eagles special teams unit comes up huge yet again.

Panthers 5th drive: Punt

Malcolm Jenkins makes a real solid open field tackle to set up third down. Newton is sacked on the run by Connor Barwin to force the punt.

Eagles 4th drive: (Continued below)

LeSean McCoy tackled for a loss.

Eagles 4th drive: Touchdown (24-7, Eagles)

McCoy tackled for no gain. Sanchez pumps and finds Jordan Matthews wide open along the sideline. Sanchez hits a tightly covered Celek up the middle with a back-shoulder throw. Sanchez hits Matthews again to put the Eagles in the red-zone. Then he hits Sanchez again for a 13-yard touchdown pass. The Sanchez to Matthews connection is no joke. Sanchez is looking good.

Panthers 6th drive: Punt

Nothing going. Newton is sacked by Trent Cole to force Carolina into 4th-and-25.

Eagles 5th drive: Turnover on downs

Eagles go for it on 4th-and-2. Sanchez targets Maclin but it's incomplete. Maclin drops it.

Panthers 7th drive: Turnover on downs

Bennie Logan smothers DeAngelo Williams to force 4th-and-2. Newton targets a receiver along the sideline but the throw is out of bounds anyway.

Eagles 6th drive: Punt

Sanchez finds... you guessed it... Jordan Matthews over the middle for a big gain. A shoestring tackle from a Panthers defender prevents Matthews from taking it to the house. A few ugly passes from Sanchez result in third down, where McCoy drops an easy pass. Sloppy Eagles offense.

Panthers 8th drive: Interception returned for Eagles touchdown (31-7, Eagles)

Newton throws a ball directly to Bradley Fletcher. Just an awful throw. Fletcher easily returns it to the house for a score.

With that Fletcher pick six, the Eagles have now scored a team-record nine non-offensive touchdowns.

Panthers 9th drive: Interception

Carolina tries to move into scoring position with the first half winding down. Barwin sacks Newton for his second sack of the night. Then he sacks Newton again for his third sack of the night. Carolina might want to consider blocking him, huh? Newton chucks up a ball towards the end-zone and it's picked off by Nate Allen.

Eagles 7th drive: Time expires

Eagles take a knee to end the first half.

Eagles 8th drive: Punt

First downs to Sproles and Matthews to start the second half. Sanchez also targeting Celek often. Eagles move the ball before having to punt.

Panthers 10th drive: Fumble

Carolina picks up a few first downs on the ground. Newton is sacked on 3rd-and-3 and fumbles. Barwin and Graham are each credited with half a sack on the play, and Vinny Curry recovered the ball. Graham gets credited with the forced fumble.

Eagles 9th drive: Touchdown (38-7, Eagles)

First play of the drive: Sanchez dials it up the seam to Celek for a touchdown. The play is reviewed, and it turns out Celek's knee was down at the one. Still, incredible throw and catch. McCoy takes the hand-off from the 1-yard line and runs it in for an easy score.

Panthers 11th drive: Punt

Newton is sacked by Fletcher Cox on the first play. That's the 23-year old's first sack of the season. Cox has been getting pressure all year, but he finally finished. Carolina gets pushed back and has to punt.

Eagles 10th drive: Punt

Zach Ertz gets involved with a first down catch. A Sanchez intentional grounding penalty then ruins the drive.

Panthers 12th drive: Punt

Nothing going.

Eagles 11th drive: Punt

Three and out. Punt fest.

Panthers 13th drive: (Continued)

Nate Allen with a HUGE hit... but it's on his own teammate. Malcolm Jenkins gets up without injury.

Panthers 13th drive: Punt

Vinny Curry forces a fumble but Greg Olsen picks it up and runs backwards for a big loss.

Eagles 12th drive: Touchdown (45-7, Eagles)

Sanchez hits Celek for a 37-yard gain to put the Eagles in field goal range. Sanchez finds Matthews for a catch-and-run for a touchdown. Can't say it enough: Sanchez loves Matthews.

Panthers 14th drive: Touchdown (45-14, Eagles)

Carolina moves the ball with a couple of plays and Kelvin Benjamin scores a garbage time touchdown to cap off the drive.

Eagles 13th drive: Punt

Run and punt.

Panthers 15th drive: Touchdown (45-21, Eagles)

Newton leads another scoring drive with the Eagles defense playing conservative. Newton hooks up with Benjamin for another garbage touchdown. The rookie wide receiver is having a fun time padding his stats.

Eagles 14th drive: Punt

Matt Barkley in at quarterback now. Two runs and an incomplete pass. Barkley doinked the pass of a guy's helmet. Punt.

Panthers 16th drive: Punt

Newton is sacked by Graham. Eagles ninth sack on the night. Graham comes up liming but walks off on his own power.

Eagles 15th drive: Time expires

Victory formation.

The Eagles are now 7-2 on the 2014 NFL season.
