The Seattle Seahawks (2-1) are in Landover, Maryland to face the Washington Redskins (1-3) in the Week 5 Monday Night Football game of the 2014 NFL season. It's a seemingly lopsided match-up between two NFC teams.
The Seahawks enter this game as 7.5 point road favorites. Seattle is coming off their Week 4 bye and should be well rested. Washington has also had the benefit of some extra rest due to playing their Week 4 game against the New York Giants on Thursday Night Football. Washington quarterback Kirk Cousins threw four interceptions and the team lost by a score of 45 to 14.
Philadelphia Eagles fans will obviously be rooting for a Washington loss, though a Seattle defeat could be a nice consolation prize. If Washington is going to be a non-factor in the NFC East it might be better for the Seahawks to lose because they're more likely a contender for a top spot in the NFC playoffs.
A loss for Washington would drop DC down to 1-4 on the season and 0-3 in NFC games. Washington is already 0-2 in NFC East play.
