Eagles-Rams Highlights: Philadelphia outlasts St. Louis [Photo Gallery]

Here are some picture highlights from the Eagles' 34-28 win over the St. Louis Rams.

The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the St. Louis Rams on Sunday afternoon, October 5, 2014. Philadelphia moved to 4-1 on the 2014 NFL season with a 34-28 victory. Like many of the team's games this season, it was not pretty. Philadelphia got off to a 34-7 start before allowing the Rams to crawl back into the game with 21 straight unanswered points. Ultimately, the Eagles did not enough to win.

Once again, special teams played a critical role. James Casey blocked a St. Louis punt early in the game and special teams ace Chris Maragos recovered to ball for a touchdown. That play set the early tempo of that game. The Eagles defense then got off to a hot start and made life difficult on unheralded Rams quarterback Austin Davis. Philadelphia's offense even rebounded from their abysmal Week 4 performance but still showed flaws. Things fell apart later in the game following an egregious fumble from quarterback Nick Foles. St. Louis marched all over the Eagles defense and made the game closer than Philadelphia would have liked it to be.

With that said, a win is a win and the Eagles are indeed 4-1. I think everyone can agree that they need to play better moving forward.
