Josh Huff, Brandon Boykin active for the Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles have announced their game-day inactive list in preparation for their NFL Week 5 game against the St. Louis Rams.

Rookie wide receiver Josh Huff is active for the first time this season and for the first time in his career. Huff hasn't experienced game action since being suffering a shoulder injury in mid-August. Huff is active in favor of fellow former Oregon Ducks wide receiver Jeff Maehl, who is inactive.

Starting nickel cornerback Brandon Boykin is active. Boykin was ruled questionable on the team's final injury report with a hamstring injury but he will play against the Rams.

Starting inside linebacker Mychal Kendricks is inactive after originally being ruled out on Friday. The loss of Kendricks is significant for Philadelphia's struggling defense. Filling in for Kendricks will likely be the trio of Emmanuel Acho, first round draft pick Marcus Smith II, and Casey Matthews.

Starting center Jason Kelce is also inactive. Kelce, who suffered a sports hernia injury in Week 3, is targeting to return in Week 10. Backup David Molk will start at center in place of Kelce. Veteran offensive lineman Wade Smith will serve as Molk's backup.

Speaking of Philadelphia's offensive line, Lane Johnson has returned from his four-game suspension and will start at right tackle. Matt Tobin gets the start at left guard in place of injured All-Pro Evan Mathis. (Mathis is doing a good job in his rehab, by the way.) Backup offensive lineman Dennis Kelly is somewhat curiously inactive.
