The Philadelphia Eagles (5-1) did not just merely beat the New York Giants (3-3) on Sunday Night Football; the Birds absolutely crushed the G-men. New York was held without a point and the Eagles recorded their first shutout performance since 1996.
The Eagles were able to pull off the win due to great blocking and the revival of the running game with LeSean McCoy. Outside of two really bad interception throws, Nick Foles was sharp. Darren Sproles continued to be a valuable offensive weapon.
Philadelphia's defense hassled Eli Manning all night long and recorded six sacks against him. The Eagles would go on to finish the night with a total of eight sacks. Eagles outside linebacker Connor Barwin finished with three quarterback takedowns while defensive end Vinny Curry got to the passer twice.
It was a complete victory by the Eagles, who were sporting their new all-black uniforms for the first time in franchise history. Relive the game with these picture highlights.
