LeSean McCoy nominated for FedEx Ground Player of NFL Week 6

Vote for Shady.

Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

The NFL has announced the nominees for their various weekly awards and Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy is up for the FedEx Ground Player Of The Week. McCoy ran for a season-high 149 yards on 22 carries for a 6.8 average in Philadelphia's 27-0 victory over the New York Giants.

McCoy's return to form is a sigh of relief for Philadelphia. The NFL's 2013 leading rusher struggled to get going early on in the season. The Eagles will need McCoy to remain in top form in order for the offense to keep on running smoothly.

McCoy is up against two other candidates: Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray and Cincinnati Bengals running back Giovani Bernard. Murray rushed for 115 yards on 29 carries against the Seattle Seahawks' top-ranked run defense. Murray has already won this award three times this season in Weeks 2, 4, and 5. Bernard rushed for 137 yards on only 18 carries against the Carolina Panthers.

You can vote for McCoy at NFL.com. If McCoy wins, FedEx will make a $2,000 donation to Philadelphia’s local chapter of the American Red Cross.
