Darren Sproles injury: Eagles running back leaves game with knee concern

Eagles running back Darren Sproles has left the Eagles game with an injury.

Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

Philadelphia Eagles running back and offensive weapon Darren Sproles suffered a left knee injury during the team's game against the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football.

Sproles was banged up after being tackled on a running play. Sproles walked off the field on his own power and then went into the Eagles locker room.

Sproles has been ruled questionable to return. Philadelphia is down to starter LeSean McCoy as the only active running back on the roster. Third string running back Chris Polk is out with a hamstring injury. Rookie tight end Trey Burton, who played the position while at college, may take some handoffs.

Stay tuned for more updates.
