LeSean McCoy, Jason Peters, and Evan Mathis Named to 2013 AP NFL All-Pro Team

The Philadelphia Eagles announced on Friday morning that three team members have been named to the 2013 First-Team AP All-Pro. Unlike the Pro Bowl, where fan voting is involved, these awards are voted on by the Associated Press. The award winners were obvious selections: running back LeSean McCoy, left tackle Jason Peters, and left guard Evan Mathis.

McCoy, who's having a highly decorated season, led the NFL in rushing yards (1,607) and yards from scrimmage (2,146) which set team records in both of those marks. McCoy was just recently named NFC Offensive Player of the Month for December, which is the first time an Eagles running back ever won that award. Last week, McCoy was named to the 2014 Pro Bowl roster.

For Jason Peters, this is his second career All-Pro selection. It's been a big comeback season for Peters, was robbed of his 2012 campaign due to an Achilles injury. Peters ranks as the fourth overall offensive tackle in 2013 according to Pro Football Focus. Along with McCoy, Peters was also named to the Pro Bowl roster last week.

Evan Mathis, a 2014 Pro Bowl snub, earned his first career All-Pro selection. Mathis is the number one ranked guard in the NFL per Pro Football Focus. The selection of Mathis and Peters marks the first team an Eagles offensive line duo made the All-Pro team since 2002 (Tra Thomas, Jermane Mayberry).
