The most anticipated week of the NFL season is finally... not here yet. That event takes place next week, when the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks square off in Super Bowl XLVIII. This week's version of "football" assuredly won't provide as much as excitement or entertainment that the Super Bowl will. That said, millions of people will watch it anyway. I'm talking about the 2014 NFL Pro Bowl, of course. It's sure to be a dull one.
This year's event will be a little different than the conventional Pro Bowl format. Instead of the conference vs. conference (NFC vs. AFC) match-up, the 2014 Pro Bowl featured a first ever Pro Bowl Draft. Pro Football Hall of Famers Deion Sanders and Jerry Rice each captained a team and selected their roster from the available pool of Pro Bowl players.
Funny enough, the four Eagles sent to the Pro Bowl were split evenly into the two different teams. Offensive guard Evan Mathis and running back LeSean McCoy were drafted by Team Rice while quarterback Nick Foles and wide receiver DeSean Jackson will represent Team Sanders.
So if you have nothing better to do... use this thread as a place to talk about the game. I guess.
