Again, Eagles go shopping for safeties - Jeff McLane, Inquirer
If Chip Kelly drafts players the way he did last year, it wouldn't be bizarre if he selected Washington State safety Deone Bucannon in the NFL draft in May. Three of the first four prospects the Eagles chose in Kelly's first draft played on college teams that beat Oregon when he was head coach, and all three performed well in those games. Although Bucannon's Cougars were run over by the Ducks, 51-26, in 2012, the safety stood out by intercepting Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota twice.

A year into Kelly's tenure, Eagles more comfortable about Senior Bowl - Les Bowen, Daily News
A year ago yesterday, the Eagles arrived to scout the Senior Bowl prospects while still putting together Chip Kelly's coaching staff, 5 days into Kelly's tenure. There were coaches watching drills, taking notes, wearing Eagles gear, but they weren't yet officially working for the team. General manager Howie Roseman used the term "whirlwind" in describing what life was like. Yesterday, that term came to mind in a different context, as 30 mph winds ripped through the stands at Ladd-Peebles Stadium. But the Eagles seemed much more settled, a year into Kelly's regime.

Draft Talk and More - Tommy Lawlor, Iggles Blitz
Dee Ford is a major mystery player. I’ll cover him in a post. So good…but is he big enough for Chip?

Senior Bowl Diary: Murphy Passes ‘Big People’ Test - Sheil Kapadia, Birds 24/7
At 6-5 3/8, 252 pounds, Murphy passes the "Big people beat up little people" test. He has the biggest hands of any player at the Senior Bowl (10 7/8 inches) and has long arms (33 1/8 inches). But it’s not just the measurables. Murphy has the production too. He led the nation last year with 15 sacks and was second with 23.5 tackles for loss.

Pauline's Senior Bowl Wrap-Up: Day 3 - Tony Pauline,
Cody Hoffman/WR/BYU: Based on his Senior Bowl showing, Hoffman, 6-foot-4, 218, is another big-bodied receiver the Eagles may want to consider during the draft's second day. He uses great technique getting off jams at the line of scrimmage and follows that up by running crisp routes into the clearing on the field. All week long Hoffman has shown consistent hands, catching everything thrown in his direction. He's not a field-stretcher, but is a reliable underneath target who will get consideration as a third receiver for any NFL team.

Counting Down the Eagles’ Offseason Needs: No. 9, Tight End - Andrew Kulp, The700Level
The Philadelphia Eagles could literally change nothing this offseason and they would still enter 2014 with the deepest, if not the best trio of tight ends in the NFL. What could possibly be of need here? It’s not certain all three will be back.

Former NFL, UT QB Vince Young files for bankruptcy -
Former NFL and University of Texas quarterback Vince Young has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. The petition was filed last week in a Houston federal bankruptcy court, listing Young with estimated assets between $500,001 and $1 million and liabilities between $1,001,000 and $10 million. The Houston Chronicle reports no specific details on Young's assets and liabilities were immediately available.

Chip Coulda Shoulda Woulda Learned From Mark - Mike Merrell, Fishduck
In just his first season as Oregon’s head coach, Mark Helfrich accomplished something that Chip Kelly never did in his four years as the Ducks’ head coach. Mark won a game that was decided by a field goal or less coming from behind in the last minute. But it wasn’t just what he did, it was how he did it that showed his coaching brilliance. It’s Kelly who is known for his innovation and thinking outside the box, but when push came to shove at the end of a close game, Helfrich simply one-upped the Chipster in dialing up the perfect play.

Super Bowl 2014: Previewing the big game with my Australian mother - James Dator, SBN NFL
The NFL is going global, so we found an international source to let you know everything about the big game.
