NFC Championship 2014: 49ers vs. Seahawks game time, TV schedule, online streaming, odds, rooting guide, and more

SB Nation 2014 NFL Playoff Coverage

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

The San Francisco 49ers will travel to Seattle to take on the Seahawks in the battle for the NFC Championship. As opposed to the AFC Championship Game, which features two of the league's long tenured pocket passers (Peyton Manning and Tom Brady), the NFC Championship Game features different quarterbacks entirely. Enter Colin Kaepernick and Russell Wilson; two young, dynamic quarterbacks who move the ball down-field with both their arms and legs.

The 49ers-Seahawks rivalry is no secret. Both teams plays in the now-powerhouse NFC West. The Seahawks won the division this year, but split their season series with the Niners. Each team won their home game. The Seahawks will have that advantage working for them on Sunday. Coincidentally, the 49ers and Seahawks share a number of similarities. Aside from the quarterbacks, both teams feature physical running backs, tough defenses, and energetic head coaches. This game marks the third time in three years the Niners have made it to the NFCCG. The Seahawks haven't been to the NFCCG since 2005, where they won and advanced to the Super Bowl.

So, Eagles fans, who will you be rooting for? You already made it clear you want the Broncos to beat the Patriots, which was a fairly predictable result. I'm not sure the rooting interest in this case is as obvious. The Eagles played neither of these teams during the 2013 season. Both Jim Harbaugh and Pete Carroll are former PAC-10 (or 12) coaches, just like Chip Kelly was before coming to Philadelphia. Russell Wilson and Colin Kaepernick were rumored to be coveted by the Eagles in the past.

Eagles connections on the 49ers:

• TE Derek Carrier (!) - Spent 2013 offseason with Eagles

• TE Garrett Celek - Brent Celek's brother

• WR Anquan Boldin - !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

• RB LaMichael James - Former Oregon Duck

• OG Adam Snyder - Former Duck

• FB Will Tukuafu - Former Duck

Eagles connections on the Seahawks:

• DE Chris Clemons - Former Eagle

• S Earl Thomas - "Should of drafted" [sic]

• DT Jordan Hill - Former Duck

• C Max Unger - Former Duck

With all of that said, I leave you with two questions:

1) Who are you rooting for?

2) Who is the better QB: Kaepernick or Wilson?

(5) San Francisco 49ers vs. (1) Seattle Seahawks
