Wide receiver DeSean Jackson is the fourth Eagles player headed to Hawaii to represent the team in the 2014 NFL Pro Bowl. Jackson was named to the Pro Bowl roster on Friday morning in place of Houston Texans receiver Andre Johnson. Jackson was originally named as a second alternate when the original Pro Bowl rosters were revealed. 2014 marks the third time Jackson has made the Pro Bowl roster. He previously earned the honor in 2009 and 2010.

Jackson experienced a career year in his first season under Eagles head coach Chip Kelly. Jackson made news shortly after the season ended with comments about how he feels he's deserving of a new contract. The sixth-year receiver amassed 82 receptions for 1322 yards (16.2 Y/R) and 9 TD. According to Pro Football Focus's "WR Rating" statistic, quarterbacks had a 124.4 QB rating when throwing to Jackson in 2013. That was good for the highest in the NFL. Not only was Jackson a big play threat, but he was also a reliable target.

Only two Eagles were originally named to the 2014 Pro Bowl: LeSean McCoy and Jason Peters. Peters opted out last week, leaving only McCoy, but then over the course of this past week Nick Foles (story) and Evan Mathis (story) were elevated from their "Pro Bowl alternate" statuses and onto the main roster. McCoy, Foles, Mathis, and Jackson will represent the Eagles in Hawaii. No defensive players from the Eagles made the cut.

The Pro Bowl game itself will take place in Hawaii on Sunday January 26th, 2014.
