DeSean Jackson Releases Statement Regarding Home Burglary

USA TODAY Sports

News of Desean Jackson's South Philadelphia house being robbed was released on Saturday night. According to the reports, "$250,000 dollars worth of cash, $125,000 in jewelry, and two semi-automatic handguns" were stolen from Jackson's house. On Sunday, Jackson released a statement regarding the robbery. From Jackson's publicist:

"DeSean is clearly upset that his home was burglarized while he was out of town on vacation. He has always felt very safe in his community and it concerns him someone would victimize his place of residence. He had personal items, jewelry and a small amount of money taken in the burglary, however the amount that has been previously reported is inaccurate. The large sum that was taken was in items."

The statement refutes the original report that claimed as much as $250,000 in cash was stolen, but confirms the other stolen items (jewelry).

Jackson is offering a reward for information. You can contact the Philadelphia Police Department if you have any leads.
