The Philadelphia Eagles head into their Monday Night Football season opener in Washington against the Redskins with a relatively healthy 53 man roster.
The only two players on the Eagles injury report are backup OT Dennis Kelly and depth CB Brandon Hughes. Dennis Kelly has been dealing with back pain since Eagles training camp. He had surgery on his back to repair a herniated disk in early August and missed the entire preseason.
Kelly is listed as the backup RT on the Eagles depth chart. Veteran OT Allen Barbe will likely fill his place for now in the event of an injury.
Brandon Hughes suffered a broken hand in the Eagles third preseason game against the Jaguars. Hughes' injury leaves the Eagles with only 5 healthy cornerbacks on the roster. Hughes will return to practice on Tuesday, which is a positive sign.
As for the Eagles opponents, the Redskins have only listed three players on their injury report. NT Barry Cofield (hand) and QB Kirk Cousins (foot) both were full participants in yesterday's practice. S Brandon Meriweather (groin) was limited.
