The Philadelphia Eagles open their 2013 campaign against the Washington Redskins on September 9th, 2013. In case you didn't know, that's the first Monday Night Football game of the season. Redskins QB Robert Griffin III will start after missing most of the off-season due to a knee injury.
It's also Chip Kelly's first regular season game as Eagles head coach. Michael Vick will start for the Eagles and look to redeem himself after two up-and-down previous seasons. And who can't wait to see that Eagles defense?! (OK, so maybe not.) What I'm trying to say is... there's reasons to be excited. The game is only 6 days away, but the wait can feel forever.
So are you tired of waiting for the season to start? Well do I have good news for you! The Eagles at Redskins MNF game will start 15 minutes earlier than the previously scheduled kickoff time at 7:10. Kickoff is now at 6:55 PM EST. You can watch all the action on ESPN/6ABC.
Football is back... soon.
[Update - 8:10 PM]
Well apparently this was all for naught as the game is really starting at 7:10.
Got a heads up from the NFL that the Skins/Eagles start time will in fact remain at 7:10. WSH press released earlier said was moved to 6:55
