Eagles vs. Broncos 2013: Game Predictions

How are you feeling about this one?

Howard Smith-USA TODAY Sports

Allow me to set the scene.

The Eagles are 1-2 after dropping two straight games at home. While a 3-0 start to the season didn't seem realistic, a 2-1 record seemed with reach. Oh well. The Eagles have a chance to get back to .500 today, but achieving 2-2 won't be so easy.

Simply put, the 3-0 Denver Broncos are the best team in the NFL right now. Or at the very least, the best team in the AFC. They have the best QB in the game. Peyton Manning, quite frankly, is ridiculously good.

So do the Eagles even have a shot to win today? Earlier this week I explained why I felt the Eagles stand a chance.

So why will the Eagles win? It's just a feeling, really. That's certainly not good reasoning. But hey, crazier things have happened, right? It's the NFL - "Any Given Sunday". Maybe Chip Kelly's offense will look truly unstoppable. Maybe the Eagles will be able to force that one extra turnover which helps them steal a victory in a close game.

I even went so far as to pick the Eagles to beat the Broncos in our BGN writer picks.

Clearly, despite the odds, I feel this game is within reach for Philadelphia. But am I just a crazy optimist, or do the Eagles really stand a chance today?
