Well, former Eagles' defensive end Hugh Douglas has certainly "kept it real" these last few months. And by "real" I mean "real stupid," of course.
The 10-year veteran is in serious legal trouble, according to WFSB-TV. Douglas has been charged with third-degree assault and second-degree strangulation after allegedly getting into a fight with a woman at a Marriott Hotel in Hartford, Connecticut. Per court records, Douglas "grabbed [the victim] by the neck" and "slammed her into the walls several times." The documents also state that the former first-round pick told investigators that the incident took place during a "rough sex."
Douglas was recently fired by ESPN after berating his co-worker Michael Smith with racially-insensitive remarks and threatening him with violence. He did all of this just days after openly criticizing Riley Cooper for his use of a racial slur at Kenny Chesney concert.
Douglas played for the Eagles from 1998-2002 and went to three Pro Bowls during his tenure in Philadelphia.
