Chip Kelly 2-point conversion GIFs! - JimmyK, Philly.com
The "Swinging Gate" formation in Philadelphia is 0 for 1 in the Chip Kelly era. Kelly's first attempt failed because of poor execution, as opposed to a poor play design, but failed nevertheless. At Oregon, Kelly attempted a total of 23 2-point conversions, 16 of which were out of an unconventional offensive set. According to Matt Takimoto of AddictedToQuack.com, the Ducks were successful on 13 of those 16 unconventional attempts, or 81%.
Cox, Curry Make Visit To CHOP - Danta Klaus, PE.com
The Eagles made a special visit to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) on Monday afternoon. Defensive linemen Fletcher Cox and Vinny Curry, along with SWOOP, were the guests of honor. They met patients, played games, signed autographs and posed for photos.
Where Are the TEs? - Tommy Lawlor, Iggles Blitz
3 weeks into the season, the Eagles are not featuring TEs. Casey has only played a handful of snaps all year. Ertz is a regular part of the offense, but isn’t starting or playing significant snaps. He and Brent Celek each have 4 catches on the season. This isn’t the offense we expected. What’s going on?
Don't count on any Eagles trades, Roseman says - Zach Berman, Inquirer
Eagles general manager Howie Roseman worked alongside both and made trades with both. He also has made more trades than any NFL executive since he was promoted in 2010. But Roseman said on Monday it's unlikely that the Eagles will make a deal before the Oct. 29 trade deadline.
All-22: Examining Michael Vick’s Issues - Sheil Kapadia, Birds 24/7
One week after throwing for 423 yards and completing nearly 64 percent of his passes against the Chargers, Vick was just 13-for-30 with three turnovers against the Chiefs. What were some of his issues? Let’s take a look, starting with his first-quarter interception.
From the video: the Eagles' tricked-up, no-good defense - Derek Sarley, Eagletarian
The Eagles’ defense is strikingly bad. They’re bad statistically and aesthetically. Every drive seems to include at least one play where the whole unit goes down like bowling pins or hey-look-no-one-covered-that-guy-again. Another multi-shot look at all the coverage breakdowns would be way too depressing for me to write or you to read, so let’s instead pick out some of the more idiosyncratic plays of the past couple weeks.
Random Eagles Thoughts: 1-2, Time of Possession, and Mike Vick - Andrew Kulp, The700Level
Expectations are on a roller coaster. They started low before the season got underway, climbed exponentially after the Eagles throttled Washington in Week 1, now we’re down in the dumps after consecutive losses. All the while, how good this team actually is likely still lies somewhere in between.
