With the NFL Week 3 early games out of the way, it was time for the national spotlight to shine on the afternoon games. Here's a look at how they went.
The Dolphins are 3-0! Ryan Tannehill threw for 236 yards and 2 TDs in this win over Atlanta. Part of his performance included a 13 play, 75 yard game winning drive. Great win for Miami. They are easily contenders in the AFC East, especially with the Patriots looking shaky.
The Jets overcame sloppy, undisciplined play to beat Buffalo. Somehow NYJ committed EIGHTEEN penalties (!?!) for 158 penalty yards. And 3 turnovers!
Only one BGN writer happened to pick the Jets to win this game, by the way.
Well this is surprising...San Francisco drops to 1-2. They didn't score the rest of the game after a Kendall Hunter TD run in the first quarter. Andrew Luck ran for a TD which means he now has 7 in his career; the same amount as the guy drafted after him, Robert Griffin III. Newly acquired RB Trent Richardson only had 35 yards on 13 carries (2.7 avg) but scored 1 TD.
The best team in the league played the worst team in the league. Guess what happened.
