DGR – Defense and STs From KC Game - Tommy Lawlor, Iggles Blitz
Vastly improved showing by the defense. Why? Getting back CB Bradley Fletcher helped. Adding Vinny Curry to the lineup helped. I think the guys also got tired of being ripped on and played better. They flew to the ball and had a spring in their step. The effort was outstanding. There were still some costly mistakes and there is a lot of room left for improvement, but it felt like the defense woke back up.

Wulf's Den: Offensive Equilibrium - Bo Wulf, PE.com
Only two teams have a quicker average scoring drive thus far in 2013. The leader is a bit of an anomaly in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, whose average scoring drive is 1:48. But the Bucs only have four offensive scores on the season, with a five-second touchdown drive dragging their average down. They aren't likely to remain atop the list throughout the season. The second place team, however, is a team that the Eagles will be watching very closely this weekend. Over 13 offensive scoring drives in two games, the Denver Broncos have averaged scoring drives of one minutes and 51 seconds, two seconds better than the Eagles' pace.

All-22: Why the Swinging Gate Two-Point Attempt Failed - Sheil Kapadia, Birds 24/7
"Missed assignment," he said. "We got five guys, they have five guys. Should have blocked the five‑on‑five and we’ve got a shot at it."

Alex Henery suddenly a question mark at kicker - Reuben Frank, CSN Philly
When the season began, Alex Henery was the second-most accurate kicker in NFL history at 87.9 percent. Three games later, we’re wondering about his job security.

Chip defends Vick, vows to fix mistakes - Les Bowen, Daily News
"I thought Mike played OK. He has played better," Kelly said. "It's always a combination. It's a team game, and it's not always on one guy. Got a couple balls tipped. Got to get some guys' hands down ... we've got to be able to get to the top of our drop and not give up so many pressures. And there are times when the ball has to get out a little quicker. But I thought Mike played OK. He really kept things alive with his feet, gave us a dimension from that standpoint."

Death threats against promoters sacks Michael Vick autograph signing in York - Jason Bristol, CBS 21

Death threats made against the owners of a York County sports memorabilia store have temporarily sacked an autograph signing by Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick. Joe Bartolo told me this afternoon the signing was postponed after he claims death threats were made against him, his wife Jamie -- the owners of JJ Cards N Toys -- and their family for organizing Vick's appearance in October at a local Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant. Those making the threats were upset the Bartolos would bring Vick to the area. Vick served 18 months in federal prison for running an illegal dogfighting ring. Bartolo told me thousands of threats were coming in from all the country. He even had to shut down the store's Facebook page.

Eagles fan, 3, has wish come true - Fox Sports
Thursday night may have been the return of Andy Reid to Philadelphia and the night the Eagles retired Donovan McNabb’s day, but the night belonged to 3-year-old Bryan Maenner.

At his first Eagles game with his father, Richard, Bryan Maenner was there to live – not to die.

That’s because 18 months ago Bryan was diagnosed with a rare blood cancer that causes tumors in his body. Three weeks ago, doctors said there was nothing left they could do. Richard Maenner decided that he wanted his son to attend an Eagles game.
