Turnovers Haunt Eagles In Loss - Bo Wulf, PE.com
Perhaps it was ironic that Andy Reid was on the opposing sideline when, for the first time this season, the 2013 Eagles made many of the same mistakes that came to characterize the 2011 and 2012 lost seasons for the Eagles. The Eagles finished no better than 31st in the league in turnover differential over the last two seasons and tied for the league lead with 37 giveaways in 2012.
Crappy Night - Tommy Lawlor, Iggles Blitz
I’m not overly depressed right now because I’ve got realistic expectations for this team. This isn’t a great Eagles team. Very flawed group. A 1-2 start isn’t shocking. I know some of you were dying to beat Andy Reid. I certainly wanted the Eagles to win the game, but beating Andy wasn’t a huge deal for me. I’ve got no hard feelings toward Big Red. I’m happy for his success in KC. The only thing that would tick me off is if he won the Super Bowl before the Eagles.
This Time, Reid Leaves Town A Happy Man - Sheil Kapadia, Birds 24/7
"It was a big roar, a big cheer, we were cheering Andy on," said running back Jamaal Charles. "He wanted to get this win. He may not tell anyone but at the end of the day, he had the biggest smile on his face."
Another maddening loss - Rich Hofmann, Eagletarian
This was the first real setback of Chip Kelly’s tenure. And when offered the chance to blame it on the short week, Kelly was adamant: "I’m not blaming it on anything except our poor execution."
Vick takes responsibility for struggles in loss - Reuben Frank, CSN Philly
The magic that carried Michael Vick through the first two games of the season disappeared Thursday night in a flurry of turnovers, overthrows, sacks and poor decisions.
