Ten Takeaways From Howie Roseman - Sheil Kapadia, Birds 24/7
The Eagles only have three outside linebackers on the roster: Connor Barwin, Trent Cole and Brandon Graham. Barwin is the only true 3-4 OLB among that group. Chip Kelly and Roseman parted ways with Chris McCoy, Everette Brown and Travis Long. When asked for his thoughts on the Eagles’ depth at that spot, Roseman provided an interesting response.

Eagles' cuts signal another end to Reid era - John Gonzalez, CSN Philly
If Chip Kelly and his handpicked charges represent the new period of Birds football, then the players who didn’t have a seat to sit in when the music stopped represent what used to be but no longer is. The Eagles didn’t just cut players on Friday and Saturday, they said goodbye to much of their recent history and moved forward without compunction.

Eagles are paying for mistakes in 2010 and '11 drafts - Zach Berman, Inquirer
The Eagles are still cleaning up the debris from the 2011 draft, the latest move coming Sunday when they waived third-round pick Curtis Marsh. The top three picks from that class are now off the roster after only two seasons, a dreadful and revealing indication of just how the bad that draft was for the Eagles.

Fighting for Themselves, Fighting for the Game - Peter King, MMQB
I spoke with Turner over the phone for an hour Sunday afternoon. His voice is often garbled because ALS is in the process of robbing all his muscles, including the ones that form words in his tongue and mouth and vocal cords, of their vitality. But this was a pretty good afternoon; he’d taken medication to ensure he could be well understood. Turner is an Alabama boy. He went to Alabama, then got drafted by the Patriots in the third round of the 1992 draft. He played eight years for the Patriots and Eagles, and retired following the 1999 season. He lives in Birmingham now. He is divorced with three children, the oldest of whom played his first varsity high school game ever on Friday night. That filled Turner with pride, knowing his son loved the game enough to pursue it, and now as a sophomore he was playing at a high level.
