Damaris Johnson has a series today during 11-on-11's in which he caught a short pass, then ran 50 yards down the field to finish the play. He then had to sprint back, line up, go in motion one way, go in motion back the other way, get into his route, catch another pass and finish down the field again. A big "Chip Kelly theme" is endurance. To run a fast paced offense, you absolutely need to be in shape, and Johnson's series was a great example of that.

Being married feels natural to Barkley. It's everything else these days that feels strange. Although the Eagles have no official depth chart at quarterback, and there's supposedly a three-way position battle for the job, Barkley is unmistakably the third-stringer. Unless there's a dramatic twist, the starter will be either Michael Vick or Nick Foles. "There is kind of an unspoken depth chart that hasn't moved yet," Barkley said after a recent practice. "It's kind of rough battling that."

All of a sudden, Kelly darted towards the sideline and disappeared into the crowd. He had spotted the handful of Atlanta Braves that were in attendance, and made his way into their pack looking for pointers. After all, who knows more about tracking balls than baseball players?

"I'm getting older. It's my time," said Barwin, who is entering his fifth season in the NFL. "I'm comfortable with myself and how I go about things. I have no problem helping young guys, and there are obviously a lot of young guys on this defense that are looking for an example of how to be a pro."

Foles took 37 snaps during Sunday’s practice, 22 with the first team. Vick had 34 reps (15 with the first team). Rookie Matt Barkley was on the field for 21 plays, all of which were with the third team.
