Chris Polk is having a great camp. I've yet to see him a drop a pass, and he looks faster than I've ever seen him. There's a reason for that. Polk said that his weight is down to 216, after being around 230 a year ago. He did extra cardio all season, and ate more salads, fruit, and oatmeal. He also noted that in high school he played wide receiver for two seasons before converting to running back, so catching passes comes naturally to him. "I feel a lot quicker," said Polk. "My lateral movement is better, pickup speed is way better. I just feel better, and healthier."

NFL Ref: Kelly’s Tempo Won’t Be an Issue - Sheil Kapadia, Birds 24/7
"There is nothing new about how we set the ball up and get ready to play," Green said today. "And as I mentioned, the key is whether there is a substitute that comes into the game. The offense may want to move and move quickly, whether it’s the Eagles, Patriots, whomever. But the defense has an opportunity to match up if in fact there’s a substitute. If there’s not a substitute, then it’s just the normal course of time that it takes us to spot the ball. And like I said, over the last two days, we didn’t see anything that we found that was gonna be very difficult for us to spot the ball."

Eagles QB tracker: Vick impressive with 1st team - John Gonzalez, CSN Philly
Friday marked a full week of training camp for the Eagles. A pattern has emerged during that time: When Michael Vick looks for a big play, DeSean Jackson tends to be on the receiving end.

Kelly: Never any question about cutting Cooper - Jeff McLane, Philadelphia Inquirer
Riley Cooper left the Eagles on Friday to attend counseling, and while Chip Kelly said he didn't know when the wide receiver would return, the coach made it clear that he will return.
