Let's get to the links:

The numbers say there's no real advantage in Eagles' early part of schedule - Jimmy Kempski, Philly.com
In Thursday night games since 2006, the home team is 43-32, for a winning percentage of 0.573. According to SportsDataLLC.com, in all games played from 2002-2011, the home team has beaten the away team at a winning % clip of 0.572, which is almost identical to Thursday night games. In other words, the numbers say that being the home team on a Thursday night game is not any different than being the home team on a good old-fashioned Sunday afternoon.

Safety Competition - Tommy Lawlor, Iggles Blitz
Now that the QB competition is over, we need to have a Safety competition. I need Dr. Bama, Les, Roob, Jeff and Geoff to start badgering Chip Kelly with questions about whether waiting this long to name a starter opposite of Patrick Chung is bad for the team. I need Warren Sapp to jump on his soapbox and demand that Kelly pick a starter now. I need Jason La Canfora to declare that Kelly’s failure to name a starting Safety is the clearest evidence yet that Kelly has no idea what he’s doing and should not only be fired, but arrested and sent to Siberia, since they don’t understand Safeties either.

Chip Kelly: Versatility Key To Roster - Danta Klaus, PhiladelphiaEagles.com
Head coach Chip Kelly explained on Tuesday morning what the personnel and coaching staff are looking for as they determine which players will survive the final cuts and make the 53-man roster. Kelly referred to "versatility," an attribute he has stressed as being of the utmost importance with players, especially for those who are not starters.

No-22: How Barwin’s Finding Success In Different Roles - Sheil Kapadia, Birds 24/7
Much of the talk around Barwin has been about how his sack total dropped from 11.5 in 2011 to just 3.0 in 2012. But the truth is Barwin’s versatility is what the Eagles found most attractive when they brought him on board. Moving from a Wide-9 4-3 to a 3-4, they needed an outside linebacker equipped to handle a number of different responsibilities. And that’s what they got in Barwin.

NFL Expert Picks: Bandwagon filling up but can Bengals win it all? - CBS Sports
CBS predicts the final standings of each NFL division. Only one of the 7 member panel has the Eagles not finishing last. In a shocking revelation, Jason LaCanfora wasn't that one.

Predicting the Eagles 53 Man Roster - Steve Shoup, Fanspeak
A pretty good projection but I'd leave off Everette Brown.

NFL rarity: Kelly has final say on roster - Zach Berman, Inquirer
There is no ambiguity about who will make the final decision when the Eagles reduce their roster to 53 players on Saturday. It's all on coach Chip Kelly, who confirmed Tuesday that he has the last word on setting the roster.

DeSean Jackson Is Really Into Sparkly Things, Including Footwear - Andrew Kulp, The700Level
Can’t say I’ve ever seen any Christian Louboutins before, but DeSean Jackson revealed that he is rocking quite a few pairs in his collection. DJacc Instagrammed a shot of his new kicks by the French luxury shoe designer, and I just gotta say whatever outrageous price he paid for these things was way too much.
