Projecting the record: The Eagles should win 9 games - Brent Cohen, BGN
Using Pythagorean win probabilities and an Offense/Defense assumption matrix to project the Eagles 2013 record.

Boom roasted: A look at the warts of the 'other' NFC East teams, Dallas Cowboys edition - JK, Philly.com
The Cowboys can't run the ball. Last season, they rushed for just 79.1 yards per game, which was 2nd to last in the NFL. The OL is probably the main culprit for their ineptitude in that department, however, it doesn't help that starter DeMarco Murray is injury prone, and he is backed up by a handful of backs with 212 combined career rushing yards. Durability issues aside, are we even sure DeMarco Murray is good? Murray had a 4 game stretch in 2011 in which he rattled off 601 yards on 75 carries. His other 19 games as a pro are far less impressive.

Eagles receivers free to alter their routes - Paul Domowitch, Daily News
The difference between being a receiver in the West Coast and being a receiver in Kelly's offense is the difference between having to strictly adhere to driving directions regardless of traffic congestion and being able to use an alternate route.

How the Eagles Package the Zone Read And Bubble Screen - Sheil Kapadia, Birds 24/7
While the truth is the Eagles are going to move quickly, Kelly’s response serves as the foundation for much of what he wants to do offensively: spread the field out, look for a numbers advantage and count on the quarterback to make the right decisions.

Now Or Later? - Tommy Lawlor, Iggles Blitz
Chip Kelly is faced with a good dilemma. The Eagles are talented enough to be competitive right away. Kelly is also a new coach that can think about the future. There is no "win now" mandate for him to deal with. What is a coach to do?

Some Quarterback Stuff - Derek Sarley, IgglesBlog
Some fresh perspective on the Vick/Foles debate.

Vick Donates $200K For Field Renovation - Danta Klaus, PhiladelphiaEagles.com
Good on you, Mike.

Have We Seen Enough of the Eagles’ QB Competition? And More Observations - Andrew Kulp, The700Level
Vick deserves the start in preseason game three in Jacksonville on Saturday. He probably deserves a majority of the reps, too. That said, there really isn’t any reason for Chip Kelly to formally name him the starting quarterback for Week 1 in Washington. Based on what, half a game’s work?

Mosher's Mailbag: Will Kenny Phillips start? - Geoff Mosher, CSN Philly
"If he can make it through the Jacksonville game and stay on the field until the end of the preseason, my gut feeling is that Phillips will make the team and start the opener."

David Akers makes 63-yard field goal in practice - Pride of Detroit
He's still got it. Looks like the former Eagle will be Detroit's kicker this year.
