Philadelphia Eagles Training Camp 2013 Notes & Quotes - Saturday 8/17/2013 - Brandon Lee Gowton, BGN
My note from yesterday's practice. See which QB got the majority of the first team reps.

The 5 best and 5 worst performances at Eagles training camp - JKempski, Philly.com
In almost every chat that I've done here at Philly.com, and also more than just occasionally on Twitter, I've been asked what 5 players have had the best training camps. Since the media will no longer have more than 20 or so minutes of access to practice each day from here on out, now seems like an appropriate time to tackle that question.

Going For Greatness - Tommy Lawlor, Iggles Blitz
Jeffrey Lurie was interviewed during the Eagles game and mentioned that one of the reasons the Eagles were so interested in Kelly is that they wanted to go for greatness. There are good NFL assistant coaches hired every year. There are even proven winners like Jeff Fisher, Mike Shanahan and Andy Reid on the market on a semi-regular basis. The Eagles had little interest in those guys.

Preseason Game 2: Eagles vs. Panthers - Brent Cohen, Eagles Rewind
Some bright spots on the defense as well, though I’m grading them on a curve. Patrick Chung, if he can stay healthy, looks like he’ll be a big upgrade at Safety. The fact that he can consistently step up and make tackles is big, even if he isn’t great in coverage (haven’t seen much of this without the All-22, so I can’t grade that part of his game).

Kelly's simplified system helping Vick excel - Jeff McLane, Inquirer
Kelly isn't dumbing down the position. He's just streamlining the quarterback's responsibilities in running his up-tempo offense. The play calls are shorter - one word in many instances - the pre-snap reading of defenses less complicated, and the options at the snap requiring less time in the pocket.

Camp nutshell: Barbre a good bet for final 53 - Mike Wisniewski, CSN Philly
The fourth-year pro filled in at LT against New England and Carolina while Jason Peters, Dennis Kelly and Ed Wang were sidelined with injuries. Peters returned to the first-team offense for Saturday's practice, but that didn't stop Chip Kelly from gushing about his backup.

Music During Eagles Games Will Continue During The Regular Season - CBSPhilly.com
If you were at the stadium, or watch Thursday night’s Eagles game on television, you noticed something in between plays; loud music. Much like during Chip Kelly’s practices, the Eagles were playing music in the stadium during game play.

ReFo: CAR @ PHI, Preseason Wk 2 - Justin Goad, Pro Football Focus
Notes on Eagles backup pass rushers, Michael Vick, and LeSean McCoy.
