The Eagles' Week 1 opponent may not be without their best, and by far their most important player Week 1. Howard Eskin reported via Twitter that Robert Griffin III's doctor, the famous James Andrews, recommended that RG3 not play until after the Redskins' bye week, which is Week 5:
Sources tell me RG3's dr, James Andrews, has recommended to #redskins that Griffin not play until after bye wk. Wash bye is week 5.

The Redskins are going to have to answer to this claim. It will be interesting to see how they respond.
If RG3 is not ready to go Week 1, the Eagles would face backup Kirk Cousins.
Update: Also according to Eskin, just because Andrews reportedly made that recommendation, it doesn't necessarily mean the Redskins will listen to it:
Sources also tell me even w recommendation by Dr James Andrews that griffin not play first 4 games, belief is shanahan will play him wk 1
