The Linc - Eagles Training Camp Begins TODAY!

Here are some Eagles links for you on the day that rookies and selected veterans report to training camp.

Hey BGN readers, my name is Brandon Lee Gowton and I'll be taking over The Linc posts in relief of Jimmy Kempski (lead BGN hack) for the next 6 weeks or so. Let's get to it:

Fan-Demonium: Training Camp Preview - Thomas Lawlor,

Here's the key areas Tommy focuses on: Chip Kelly, the QB competition, the WR battle, the new-look defensive line, and the rookies.

"Training Camp is finally here. This has been a long, strange offseason, with a legendary coach leaving and the excitement of Chip Kelly and his innovative ideas taking the NFL by storm. From smoothies to loud music during practices to sleep monitors, football has had a very different feel under Kelly. We finally get to see the action. "

Comparing Eagles vs. Ducks: First 15 Plays Per Game in 2012 - Danta Klaus, BGN

Dan put a lot of work into this one, so we're linking to it again. Fun stat: Oregon accumulated under 100 yards in its first 15 plays just 3 times last season, while the Eagles eclipsed 100 yards just 1 time.

The 2nd Annual Definitive Twitter List for Eagles Fans - Jimmy Hackski, BGN

With training camp starting today, here's a list of all the people on Twitter you need to follow. I've spared you the task of finding the most important one.

This year is really about 2015 and finding "the one" - Ed Kracz,

Kracz thinks the Eagles need to use this season to find out what they have at QB. BGN will have more on this subject later today - stay tuned.

"Vick may end up winning the starting QB job, but at what price? An extra win or two? A critic would say that starting Vick could be good for an extra loss or two, so let him have at it. But that would defeat the purpose of finding "the one." Besides, Vick seems determined to succeed under Kelly, if only because, at 33, this may be his final chance at being a starter."

Phil Sheridan: Kelly's Eagles start a saner, safer camp - Phil Sheridan, Philadelphia Inquirer

"Kelly's first camp completes the journey from Lombardi's Parris Island cruelty to the football seminar approach. Two-a-days, a fundamental concept for decades, are a thing of the past. There will be more classroom time, more weight-room time, more video-review time. After a brief walk-through, the team will practice just once, at 12:30 p.m."

WR competition will be crucial for Eagles at camp - Reuben Frank, CSN Philly

This should be one of the best position battles to watch in training camp. How many WRs will they keep?
