Eagles sign Matt Barkley to four-year deal

USA TODAY Sports

There has been a lot talk about the Eagles quarterback competition this week, and now the team has made a move (albeit an inevitable one) at the position. The team has signed 4th round pick, Matt Barkley, to a four-year contract. Barkley was taken with the 98th overall pick in this year's draft, after some pundits predicted that he would be the first quarterback taken. The four-year starter at USC comes to Philadelphia with an impressive resume. He scored 117 touchdowns and put up 12,325 yards over four season with the Trojans.

He is also pretty funny too:

With the Barkley signing, the Eagles first round pick, Lane Johnson, is the only rookie that remains unsigned. Johnson was taken with the 4th overall pick. He is currently projected to be the teams starting right tackle. Johnson's signing will most likely come in the next few weeks before training camp.
